Dan R asked:
Does anyone know of any George Strait songs on any of his albums that are acoustic, or does anyone have a link for any performance by him that is just acoustic?

In the movie that he did Pure Country, the end was just him with a guitar, and a few times in the movie was just him and his guitar. Get that soundtrack

I have never heard him play acoustic on any of his albums. Even the “Pure Country” cd has his band behind him on the song the gentlemen before me suggested.

George dosen’t really Record many accoustic versions of his songs; however, ther are a few that I can think of. On his website in the video/photo gallary there are two ads that george appears in singing with just his guitar, one was “Bud Light Dog” and the other was “Wrangler Spot”.
As for pure country, I would suggest just getting a copy of the movie itself if you only want the acoustics because the soundtrack does not have really any acoustic songs, although some like “Last in Love”, “King of Broken Hearts”, and “Heartland (main title sequence) are fairly close.
In the movie George plays acoustic during scenes nine (Visiting Old Haunts), twenty-three (Riding and Strumming).
Other than that I don’t know of any others.
But, there are alot of live videos on the internet, and his 2002 “For the Last Time: Live From the Astrodome” Special, and many of his songs are pretty low on synthisizers.
